Sarah Mitchell
PT, DPT
Sarah earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Chapman University after completing her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology at California State University, Sacramento. Her interest in rehabilitation began while volunteering with an adaptive recreation program, where she saw how personalized support could help people rediscover both independence and confidence.
During graduate school, Sarah completed clinical rotations in outpatient orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, acute care, and balance and mobility training. She enjoys working with patients recovering from joint replacements, orthopedic procedures, and injuries that have interrupted their normal routines. She also has a strong interest in helping older adults improve strength, balance, and confidence with movement.
Sarah’s approach is encouraging, organized, and centered on the individual. She takes time to explain each phase of rehabilitation and celebrates the smaller milestones that eventually lead to larger goals. By combining progressive exercise with practical home strategies, she helps patients carry what they learn in the clinic into their everyday lives.
When she is not treating patients, Sarah enjoys Pilates, paddleboarding, baking, and spending time outdoors. She is also an avid reader and loves exchanging book recommendations with patients and coworkers.
